During NFL’s most project, Will Shipley was selected in the 4th round of the Philadelphia team, Orly, who had just signed Sakun Barkley just over a month earlier. He had to know that he would not get much time at this moment.
You can’t argue with the situation. After a star career with Clemson Tigri, he landed with a contender who would allow him to share his first NFL meeting room with one of the best tails of a generation.
Then it happened. With the NFC Championship match in the hand (and a 25-point lead deep in the 4th quarter), Sakwon took the rest of the night. Enter a rookie.
How is this for a nice title?
Real, we didn’t know how the NFC championship game would turn out. We were expecting a dog battle from a division rival and we got one.
Filly received everything they could do from playing against Jaden Daniels and Washington commanders. In the end, the opponent trimmed the margin up to 11 points in the second half. Then the crime began to roll when the birds enjoyed a little revenge.
Washington gained 22 points from the fourth quarter to beat the Eagles in the 16th week. Fili hung 21 in the final frame against the commanders on Sunday. 55 Total points is a record for NFC Championship.
The final flow of TD came from the rookie. Will Shtlli pulled the rock four times for 77 yards, including a 57 yard dash, to finish with 77 yards of haste and the first rushing TD of his career.
1st career TD in NFC Championship game.
You will always remember the one, @Willshipley2021! 💚 pic.twitter.com/a7okchuhsc– Philadelphia Orly (@eagles) January 26, 2025
Congratulations. We believe this is the first of many.
Fili moves to the Super Bowl for the second time in three seasons. Nick Siriani and Jalen Hurts become the first chief coach and defender to reach the biggest play of football twice. We will celebrate this one for a little while. Then it’s time to go to work and hope you finish this story.
