Early adopters of NVIDIA RTX 50 Series graphics cards are reported recurrent display problems, with new hardware delivering unwanted and unexpected blank screens.
Dozens of social media users, forums and Reddit have been reported to have experienced the same dilemma, with the joy of a new graphics card quickly becoming despair.
In the interest of the full disclosure, the Club386 witnesses similar during testing. While the RTX 5090 released our battery from indicators without a hanger for my original RTX 5090 View Editionsubsequently RTX 5080 The cards turned out to be problematic.
Our range of problems ranged from empty screens to massive Windows rabbit, and the interrupting nature of the error made the diagnosis even more problem. Uncertain about the root cause, we tried countless adjustments that included clean installed windows, switching from PCIe 5 to PCIE 4, and even trying different power supplies.
Today, a fully configured system from a respected system integrator in the UK arrived at the Club386 HQ, equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D processor and the GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. When charging first, the system behaves as expected. On the second shoe, we are hit from the same empty screen, which makes us believe that the problem is potentially widespread.
Our internal testing is ongoing, but for now, forcing a PCIe slot to operate at 4.0 x16 seems to be the most successful remedy, although it does not even guarantee success.
Online chatting has made some suggest that the bug may be the result of the NVIDIA reengable PCIe interface, which is now separated from the main PCB, but is too early to speculate. Users can recall that the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 have encountered similar black screen problems, which were addressed through firmware updates for both cards. We can only hope that this lightest hiccup is no more wicked and can be repaired through a software patch.
