UNC’s basketball program puts inconvenient effort into a Duke loss

Hubert Davis said UNC’s basketball program will be ready to play on Saturday night. Fortunately for him, he did not specify which Saturday he was talking about.

Unfortunately, Tar Heels were not ready to play this Saturday against their biggest rival.

In a game that felt shortly after the initial advice, the UNC basketball program suffered an ugly double -digit loss to Duke in Durham. While the end result shows only a 17-point margin, this game was much, much further than the result shows.

With a huge advantage of the size, Duke took control early and kept his foot on the gas. North Carolina had no answers to slow down the estimated # 1 as a whole selection of Cooper Flag, and when they tried, Flag found the open man created due to the efforts of Tar Heels Double-Team.

From the numerous turnover of Elliot Cado at the beginning of the first half to Tar Heels, it did not generate an offensive rhythm, it was an ugly performance that UNC’s fans of UNC will quickly want to forget.

However, this shows the difference in the talent between the two programs. Duke’s list is at a completely different level, which is the current UNC basketball team away from it. Tar heels essentially went through the movements, looking to rely on Iso Ball offensive to do things.

Unfortunately, ISO BALL has not really worked much for this season for Tar Teels.

If it wasn’t a very strong second half from Drake Powell, the end result would have been much longer. While fans strive for Hubert Davis’s work, the guilt must be distributed evenly.

Of course, this list is not well built (which is a problem with zero, as well as a coaching problem), but Davis and his staff are not the ones who shoot the ball and play defense. At one point, players need to put more care in their game, as this team essentially goes through the movements.

It does not help that this department lacks a real leader, something past from UNC basketball teams had no problem finding.

We are currently in a disappointing state of UNC basketball, as this team certainly does not meet the expectations we all have for them. Saturday night was another reminder that things needed to change quickly, as Tar Heels is a whole level under the elite caliber teams that basketball at college can offer.
