The heroic man who took a gun from the shooter in Australia does not regret his action

Ahmed al Ahmed, the Australian immigrant who heroically wrested a gun from one of the shooters involved in the deadly anti-Semitism. terror attack on Sunday in Australia, he said he would do it all again, his immigration lawyer Sam Issa, said, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

“He does not regret what he did. He said he would do it again. But the pain began to take a toll on him,” Sam Issa noted on Monday evening after visiting the injured man, the reported outlet. “It’s not good at all. It’s riddled with bullets. Our hero is fighting at the moment.”

The injured Muslim father, 44, has daughters aged five and six, according to the outlet, which said he arrived in Australia from Syria in 2006 and then received citizenship in 2022.

“Ahmed is a humble man, he is not interested in coverage, he just did what he was forced to do as a man on that day,” Issa noted, according to the outlet. “He has this gratitude to be in Australia. This is his way of conveying his gratitude to stay in Australia, to be granted citizenship.

“He really valued this community, and he felt that as a member of the community, he had to act like that and contribute.”
