The creator of Stardew Valley does not want to ‘close the book’ on its development

Stardew Valley is probably one of the most supported indie games of all time with Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone now working on the title for over 12 years. Speaking to NPR, Barone mentioned that he doesn’t want to “definitely say the book is ever closed” on Stardew, because he might one day “have a desire to go back and maybe add a thing or two”:

“You know, maybe 50 years from now, I might add something…I love creating things. I don’t think I’ll ever retire. I think it would be funny to release an update when I’m 90 — if I live so long.

Having said that, he feels that a game “can have too much content,” and while he wants Stardew to be the best experience it can be, if there’s any point, he feels that it’s “starting to get kind of overloaded with content to him point that is detrimental to the fun factor of the game”, he would consider the ban.

So there you go – while Stardew Valley alone got a big update not too long agothere may still be more to come. And to be fair, it already has numerous updates since the arrival of version 1.6 on Switch last year.

In an interview with Nintendo Life published earlier this month, Barone mentioned how he thought he could continue working on Stardew for the rest of his life and just wants to “keep it alive” as he doesn’t want to see it fainting. out.
