North Jersey Native Grant Ellis Will start his search for love on Monday in the 29th season ABC “The Bachelor.”
Ellis, 30, was announced as the advantage of the next season in August after coming out emotionally from the last season “The Bachelorette,” Where fellow Garden State Jenn Tran holds the main role.
Ellis captured the heart of Bachelor Nation earlier during “The Bachelorette,” scored the first and one-on-one date with Tran during the August 5 episode. However, he was finally sent home on the next Monday and then announced by ABC as the next leader of “The Bachelor.”
Ellis described himself in a video at ABC as a new Jersey boy, a boy of Mama, a daily trader, an athlete and goofball.
“I am looking for love. I want a wife. I am looking for happiness,” Ellis said. “To get what you want from life, you have to take the opportunity. Love is a choice. Love is difficult. But in the end, the most difficult things have the biggest gift. Let the trip start.”

While he currently lives in Houston, Texas, Ellis is raised in Newark. He is a graduate of the Hudson Catholic Regional High School at Jersey City and plays the basketball college at Iona University in New York.
After graduating from college, Ellis played professional basketball abroad. He is currently working as a daily trader.
When he does not work in the financial world, Ellis can be found cheering in Lakers, in the bowling arena, or singing at Karaoke Night, according to ABC Bio official.

In a Video posted by Ellis and Good Morning America Following ABC’s announcement in August, Ellis shared that he was looking for “good and understanding love.” He hopes to find a couple who likes adventure, loving and loving.
“I can’t wait for this extraordinary journey to start,” Ellis said. “This will be very fun, and I hope you listen.”
Season 29 of “The Bachelor” will premiere on Monday, January 27 at 8 pm at ABC.
