The Eagles’ offense came alive when the performance mattered most against an old NFC East rival in the Washington Commanders, flying out of the gates on a 60-yard scoring drive by Saquon Barkley. Philly’s defense also forced two turnovers and came up with big stops in the second half to help the Birds return to the Super Bowl after a disappointing 2024 season. Barkley finished with 118 yards and three touchdown runs, and Jalen Hurts led the offense and efficiency, completing 20 of 28 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown while adding three rushing scores.

Philadelphia then awaits the winner of Sunday night’s AFC Championship game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 59. The NFL title game is scheduled for Feb. 9 in New Orleans.
