Order Taemin ‘Aloha’, Bruno Mars’ Record, Nicole Scherzinger Tony Award

The new theater release called Brutalis has received 10 Academy Award nominations and has offered three Golden Globe Awards. But I found it as an intense and uneven epic drama about a brilliant Jewish-Hungarian architect who survived the Holocaust and came to this country in 1947. Unfortunately, his struggle for years to achieve success in this country came at personal costs the big one. Adrien Brody is very good as an immigrant who suffers for a long time so I think he will get a second academy award. (The first is for pianists twenty years ago.) The brutal section is interesting, but other parts are disturbing and confusing. Plus, too long: 3 hours and 35 minutes with a 15 minute rest. During the 33 -year span of a large plot carrying many other characters, some of them disappeared without an explanation before the film finally ended. Plus, there are scenes of addiction heroin, prostitution, and rape. The brutal may be a highly recognized film, but, regardless of the extraordinary actors, for me, it is difficult to pass. (Starred with Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones)
