I have been using of Samsung new Galaxy S25 Ultra For a few days, and I have a confession to do. For years, my favorite ultra -wide camera found on every phone was in the Samsung Galaxy S models and the new version in S25 ultra It’s even better. When to Galaxy S10 series It fell in 2019, I couldn’t take enough photos with the first ultra -wide Samsung camera. Was it perfect? No. But the lenses had an incredible way to distort the reality to make ultra -wide photos look dramatic, without turning full eye with deformed edges.
Over the years, Samsung It has updated the lenses and sensor on its ultra -wide camera. And the Galaxy S25 Ultra brings a new version with a 50 megapixel sensor – and it’s amazing. Judging by my first 48 hours with S25 ultra, ultrawide seems to catch LOT Details, while there is a respectable dynamic range, especially for high contrast shots with different births of light and shadow. Of course I have even more tests to do, but so far I like the photos I get from the new ultra -wide camera.
Ultra -wide examination of the S25 ultra gives the peebles a dramatic appearance as it moves to see the window.
Take a look at the ultra -wide details of the S25 ultra caught in this photo of the peebles cat. Despite the peebles ran toward the window bed, the phone grabbed a ton of texture in its wool and mustache. This image has some challenging, sunny lighting that flows through the window to the left in a different dark room. Note the noise of the image on the shadows on the right side. Perfect? No, but in my book, detail and dramatic distortion of the target compensate it.
Although the ultra -wide camera is not clinically perfect (and is still a degree below compared to the main camera), it can produce stunning views like that of water flowing down the stone stairs.
Here is an early morning photo of an ultra-wide water sculpture. Fluent water looks like glass in contrast to the stone. This image is very sharpened, but I like the appearance of the explosion of the sun in the upper right corner.
The macro photo receives a good growth thanks to the new 50 megapixel sensor.
The wide ultra of S25 Ultra doubles like a macro lens, allowing it to get close to its subject and keep things in focus. In this photo of a Godzilla toy in a window, the monster’s plastic structure appears quite well. Note the details of turquoise eyes and tooth in the cream – Godzilla may need to visit a dentist. Also the S25 Ultra balanced the exposure of Godzilla’s image by avoiding the exits of the main points of the sky and the city outside the window.
This photo is taken with the main S25 ultra camera.
Here is the same scene taken with the ultra -wide camera.
The wide ultra is not without its shortcomings and is still a step down in terms of overall image quality compared to the main camera. Note in the photos above that the image from the main camera has better shades (trees on the right) and a wider dynamic range, and that the main camera uses less noise landing (see bricks in buildings). But even with these negative areas, images from ultra-wide are, more often than not, stunning.
Here are some other ultra -wide photographs from S25 ultra.
This ultra -wide image is taken indoors with a mixture of upper light and daylight that enters the windows.
I am impressed with the dynamic range, which is not as wide as the main camera, but it is respectable for an ultra -wide telephone camera.
The underwear of the Maisie cat looks even more dramatic through an ultra -wide lens. Of course, no matter how much this picture is, it is not perfect, with shades in its coat tight to black.
Pen S out of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Note the new rounded phone corners.
But wait, there are even more! While ultra in the phone name does not refer to ultra -wide lens, it symbolizes the ambitions of this phone. Galaxy S25 Ultra is ultra in everything in terms of specifications: Snapdragon 8 elite chip12 GB RAM, a 5000 MAH battery, two telephoto cameras, a writing top and the real phone star, that screen. But the same can be said for last year S24 ultraIf you change the new chip with the new chip of last year Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
In terms of physical design, the Ultra S25 now has rounded corners instead of those with the right angle of the Galaxy Note found in the previous phones ultra. And similar to the usual Galaxy S25 and S25 PlusThe edges of the phone are now flat, which I think makes the phone easier to hold. The Ultra S25 weighs even less than last year’s model. Watching videos, playing games or just moving social resources feels more diving, thanks to the thinner frames of the screen. None of these improvements are huge, but they are added to make S25 ultra look smoother and less as if I am carrying a dense technological brick with them.
Then it is him. Oh he. During the discovery of the S25 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung emphasized its relationship and partnership with Google. And that could be the best way to think all these features of him. You need to have a Google account for the side of the Gemini things and a Samsung account for things on the device and Bixby.

As it was advertised, a long print on the power button allowed me to withdraw Gemini interface to ask things like when the other Warriors game was and add it to my calendar. Having a digital assistant take a few steps from a single command is beautiful. Unfortunately, he added the game to the Samsung calendar app and not in the Google Calendar app I used for years – an assumption that meant that I would have to manually add the event to the last calendar.
This may sound funny, but beyond my preference for Google apps to Samsung those, having a digital assistant capable of more complex questions will take a bit to learn. Like most of the phone owners, I have possessed the step -by -step reality that our current smartphones have been having for years. In the short time I have had the phone, I continue to try to think about other ways to benefit from this most sophisticated helper.
My latest opinion at the moment is that I really like the strip idea now on the lock screen that shows direct update updates in the background. But unlike the iPhone and its direct activities on the lock screen, it is currently very limited. I see the potential and hope this is something Samsung can make more third -party developers benefit.
I have more tests to do, but after two days, I feel great about the new ultra S25.
Does he have a color? Samsung is pretending cold blue for his Galaxy S25 phones
