MGM Grand Las Vegas is embarking on a $300 million renovation of its flagship tower: Travel Weekly

of MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is pouring $300 million into an extensive renovation of all 4,212 rooms and suites in its flagship tower.

The first wave of the tower’s renovated rooms will come online on March 1, with the entire project scheduled to be completed by December.

The disco-era-inspired redesign will include numerous updates, with King rooms set to feature walnut wood finishes and warm gray textured wall coverings and Queen rooms slated to incorporate gray stone finishes lighter and fitted headboards.

All rooms will have refreshed bathrooms with showers, as well as updated technology, including wall-mounted smart TVs and bedside USB and USB-C charging capabilities.

Additionally, MGM Grand plans to add 111 suites to its accommodation mix, bringing the main tower’s total number of suites to 753. These new suite offerings will range in size from 675 to 2,572 square feet and will have dark ebony and walnut wood finishes.

The property will also add two new food and beverage venues, including Netflix Bites, a dining venue with cuisine inspired by Netflix shows. Netflix Bites, which is on track to open early this year, will be joined by Palm Tree Beach Club, a tropical-inspired day club concept, this summer.

The main tower renovation follows the 2022 remodel of MGM Grand’s 700-room Studio Tower.
