Mexican lawmakers were filmed pushing and pulling hair on the floor of Congress Mexico City on Monday
The viral video shows women legislators of rival parties fighting for position at a podium in front of the camera. The women’s argument grows from shouting to pushing and finally to pulling each other’s hair while other legislators try to intervene.
The scene took place during the debate on reforms to Mexico City’s transparency watchdog agency. Members of the right-wing National Action Party (PAN) protested the conduct of the left-wing Moreno Party, which is in control.
The representatives of the PAN held their position at the podium while the members of the Moreno Party tried to remove them, leading to the scuffle. Both parties have condemned the violence after the incident, but blamed his opponents for starting it.

“It is not only vulgar, it is not only aggressive, but it is regrettable that this is the majority governing party of this city,” added PAN deputy Daniela Alvarez.
