Lamar Jackson returns to practice with the Ravens


Lamar Jackson resumed training with Baltimore Ravenson Thursday, after missing the session the day before due to a knee problem.

Jackson played the last two games after missing three with a groin injury. The nature of his knee problem is unknown, but Ravens coach John Harbaugh downplayed the severity of the injury Wednesday.

The Ravens (4-5) have won three in a row and are one game behind Pittsburgh Steelersfirst in the northern section of the American Association. The Ravens will visit the Browns in Cleveland this weekend, then wait New York Jets.

Jackson has 15 touchdown passes and one interception this season, with an efficiency rating of 127.1.

Purdy returns to action on Sunday

The head coach of San Francisco 49ers Kyle Shanahan showed he can count on his quarterback to return to play Brock Purdyon Sunday, against the Arizona Cardinals.

Purdy has missed the 49ers’ last six games with a right toe injury. He first suffered the injury in the first game of the season before aggravating it while trying to return to play in Week 4.

In his absence, Mac Jones helped the 49ers go 3-3.

Through two games this season, Purdy has 586 passing yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions.
