Kimberly Schlapman Hand his marriage a secret for 19 years.
The small singer of the big city revealed she and her husband Stephen Schlapman waved six months before their marriage in November 2006.
The 55-year-old musician kept running a secret from his parents and children for almost two decades before choosing to open the moment on TV directly.

“When we talked about this before, I began to tremble, my hands began to tremble. I became very nervous,” Kimberly admitted during the Tuesday episode from the “Today” event. “I like, ‘I have a story,’ But, like, four people all over the earth know it. Not my parents, not my mother and my father.”
Before the episode aired, Kimberly called his parents to share secrets before spilling beans on TV.
“I’m like, ‘Mama, is Dad is there? Can he hear me? I have to tell you something,'” he recalled. “And I told him, and he was like, ‘What?!’ And finally, I became more nervous and nervous, and then he began to giggle.
“The name of my late husband is Steve. This one name is Steve. I can’t mention my two beautiful men Steve, so this is Schlap. So Schlap and I married November 2006, but six months before we wowed to Vegas.”

“We planned it,” said Kimberly. “We planned it because we met several families in the beautiful big lake out there. So, Schlap is like, ‘What if we leave a day earlier to get married.’ And I like, ‘I never did bad things!’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, yes.’
“And we keep the secret a secret. And then – this is when we ordered a hotel room Big city small – I have to tell Karen (Fairchild) because I want a hotel room with my husband. So he knew and, like one other person, I told my sister. “
