John Rotstein Living that ESPN warned Duke Game for TGL

Cooper Flagg and Duke Blue Devils are approximately as blockbuster as the college basketball standards. Then it should not be a surprise that the Blue Devils are common inhabitants of the most vibrant time slots for ESPN night.

The Monday game against the NC State state rival was no different. Flagg and Co. were scheduled to give up against Wolfpack at 8:30 pm on Espn’s MondayS But viewers may have been surprised when they turned to ESPN to find Tiger Woods and Rory Mcilroy Duking-IT-IT-IT it it in the new simulator Golf League TGL.

The TGL match on Monday, including the two above -mentioned league founders, has become the cervix and the oldness, becoming the first game in the history of the League to reach overtime. Unfortunately for fans of basketball at college, this meant the match to overcome its planned ESPN window, forcing the beginning of Duke-NC State to ESPNU.

A prominent Hoops College reporter, Jon Rothstein ‘CBS Sports, was not happy with the solution.

For fans of the hoops, the prevention was certainly shocking. After all, it was only the fourth TGL match, and many of them are still not familiar with the League or even know about its existence. However, Basketball viewers at college may be more suns with the league, given that its Monday and Tuesday nights will regularly lead the ESPN windows to or outside the college hoops.

And so far, ESPN is right to prefer TGL’s broadcast – even over Duke’s basketball match.

During the opening match of TGL earlier this month, the league Elevated ESPN audience 22% against the lead from the Duke. Next week, TGL serves as a leader for the Duke Basketball match and draws 70% more viewers than the blue devils. Overall the league is Leakage of comparable basketball windows in college Up to 50% this season.

So, while the Golf PrimeTime Simulator, which ran into college basketball games, may seem strange, there is a method of ESPN’s madness. John Rotstein and others will just have to get used to seeing from time to time to see ESPNU tips.
