How to watch Ole Miss vs. Tulane: Start time, TV and streaming options

It’s highly likely that most of the Mississippi and Louisiana populations will be tuning in when Ole Miss and Tulane square off Saturday afternoon in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Oxford will become the most populous city in the state overnight with more than 100,000 people combined at the stadium and the Grove for the game and party of the decade. The old saying was, “We may not win every game, but we’ve never lost a game.” That saying has died a slow death the past five years as the Rebels (11-1, 7-1 SEC) have had their most successful run in 60 years.

Tulane (11-2, 7-1 AAC) enters Vaught Hemingway Stadium for the second time this year after a 45-10 romp in September. The score was not indicative of the overall game as the Green Wave rolled the dice and missed three times going into fourth down without success. I wouldn’t expect anything different on Saturday as Jon Sumrall will likely look to throw the kitchen sink at Ole Miss and new head coach Pete Golding to shock the college football world.

But the big question swirling around is “what channel is the game on?” It’s not the traditional options we’re used to in the SEC with ABC, ESPN, or even the long lost cousin CBS with that grainy Gary Danielson. On Saturday at 2:30pm CT, you’ll need to tune in to TNT or TruTV to watch the Rebels and Green Wave play for a chance to advance to a Sugar Bowl date with the Georgia Bulldogs.

If you’re in the unfortunate position of working and need to covertly stream, HBO Max will stream the game live, or maybe you’ll be on the golf course in low-to-mid-60 degree weather and want to keep track of your putts, you degenerate.

This is arguably the biggest sporting event ever to take place in the state of Mississippi. Many, many thousands of people will be there, and many more will one day lie that they are there. If you’ve ever believed in Rebels, you’ll have to watch TV if you can’t be there.
