Warwickshire signed the Bowler Pakistan Pace, Hasan Ali, for a third season in Edgbaston.
The 30-year-old will be available from May 29 until the end of the season for an all-format format contract.
Hasan took 33 wickers in 2023, but missed a large part of last season with an elbow injury.
“I said last year that Edgbaston felt like a second house for me, but now it becomes more like a first house.” said the club site., external
“Last year he had the misfortune with the injury. I felt that I was swirling well and I took a lot of explosion. But I return to 100 % in training and focused on joining with warwickshire next season.”
Hasan, who played 24 tests and 117 white ball matches for Pakistan, made three appearances in the County Championship for Bears last summer and took 10 wicked in five T20 explosion games.
He is no longer on the list of central contracts in Pakistan and should arrive in time for the opening of Birmingham Bears, at Outlaws Notts, Friday, May 30.
“His call from May last year came out of blue and took Hasan away from the beginning of the county championship,” said Mark Robinson, the first team coach.
“I had insurance this year from PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board), which will be able to focus on bears, which is wonderful news.
“Obviously, the contract comes with the warning that Hasan continues to make good progress in its post-op and reaches us fully.
“Hasan is an interpreter from the heart, who always gives everything for the cause. He is taken over by the evidence proven at the highest level and flew with us last season before injury.”
Warwickshire begins the new season with a county championship game against Sussex on April 4.
