GeForce RTX 5090 can work at 450W with minimal performance loss

There is no denial of that GeForce RTX 5090 is the most powerful user graphics card on the planet. However, Nvidia’s Pixel Pixel needs almost 600W to realize its full performance potential. That doesn’t mean, electricity for the rest of you) passing through it.

Using an 8-pin adapter cable delivered with its GeForce RTX 5090, the Outlet Computer Base is placed to starve their graphics card. Each of the four 8-pin headers supplies 150W power to the 12V-2 × 6 connector capable of supporting up to 600W. Despite NVIDIA’s flagship, which is proud of the 575W TDP, he surprisingly works with only 450W and even manages to pump surprisingly high performance.

In Computer Base, GeForce RTX 5090 achieves 97.7fps with 575W available. Restricting the card to 450W, a reduction of 125W (-22%), sees only a decrease in performance to 92.6 frames per second (-5%). The site managed to go even more with 400W, achieving frames of 88.2 frames per second, but the power output has led to the fact that the card is not functioning.

Wants to see if GeForce RTX 5080 Energy consumption can be similarly used by a diet, the computer base tries to manage the card with only 300W. Unfortunately, many versions of the card refused to start with so little wadding.

This type of experimentation is an effective means of underestimating through hardware, not software like MSI afterburner. It’s nice to see that there is enough space for the GeForce RTX 5090 to work more efficiently, especially given its huge appetite. Not forgetting the profit efficiency it offers in comparison to RTX 4090S After these results, I will be glad to see a more detailed study of how much performance declines with Watts.

Nvidia accepts more conservative TDP with GeForce RTX and 5070, respectively at 300W and 250W. Comparisons with the RTX 5090 are somewhat controversial, given the difference in graphic processors and other specifications, but I am curious to see how well these tougher graphics cards are presented against their predecessors. You can expect such a study in the upcoming Club386 reviews of both pixel impulses, so be sure to follow the site of Google News Some time ago.
