The Fireid Benefit concert last night was a noble ointment for Los Angeles who were battered and bruised still staggered from the worst disaster in his modern history. Around 16,000 structures were destroyed by forest fires that left their countless emotional and financial victims on hundreds of thousands of Angelenos. Tonight, Though, The Kia Forum and Intuit Dome were transformed into warm hearths of music, empathy and la love with sounds and artists reflecting this city’s rich, varied and deep musical legacy while raising tens of milli forest fires.
That the task of Herculean with around 28 rounds performed for almost six hours in two arena was withdrawn for only 23 days after the fire began on January 7, (which was not fully contained until it rained last weekend), is evidence of knowledge, hard work and commitment of the producer of the event Led by the Azoff family, intuit dome, live nation, aeg presents, joe gallen and rick cream. For their credit, that night’s production was almost unlimited with a set between two arenas that were broken down by highly produced and interesting films that showed a moving testimony from heroic Angelenos who lost home, property and far more in forest fires.
Here, the broad history of LA music is displayed which reflects broad voices and represents cultural plots and the history of multi-color music. Here are artists related to Laurel-Canyon like Joni Mitchell (“Both Sides” now “Make everyone cry), Graham Nash and Stephen Stills (wisely advise us to” teach your children well “) and Stevie Nicks (” landslides “very far outside the classic). Also here is Dr. Compton’s Dre who did “California Love,” the original song of the city, was supported by the genius of Polymath anderson’s music. Paak (shouting oxnard/venture). With the “Koreatown” shirt,. Paak brought amalgam hip-hip-hip-pej-hip soul-funk-funk that is needed to night with a crack band and percussion Sheila E. Bebe “and represent the large Latino population of the city.
Also symbolizes LA in various ways, with what is easy at one of the most encouraging night, is three -quarters of Nirvana that features Rocker Punk La Pat Pat Smear, from Punk Ur City, The Germs, The San Fernando Valley himself Dave Grohl and Bassist The Bassist The Germs, The San Fernando Valley himself, Dave Grohl and Bassis, The Bassist Valley, Dave Grohl and Bassist from San Fernando Valley owned by San Fernando Valley San Valley Krist Novoselic (which apparently played Bordeon). The group choices of four brilliant/baller female guest players/baller to face the front of the punk band that burned this band were enlightened: Kim Gordon (raised in LA and Los Feliz residents today) who previously from Sonic Youth destroyed “School” in the best way ; Joan Jett His Majesty (and former Trailblazer Runaways) shook the fierce version of “Stay Away;” Without a half -time La’er St. Vincent leads the hoarse “Breed” version; “And Princess Grohl, Violet is nailed In the utero “All apologies.”
Other performance highlights include: The Black Crowes (singer Chris Robinson is a Lama LA population) who appeared with the original La Putra and the Slash Strip Sun Sun Snaking 80s which gave a brilliant acoustic version of Zeppelin “Going to California.” They are not the only one who paid respect to ZEP, who knowledge and connection to La Run Deep (see riot house) as P!
A more inspired couple, including La, Billie Eilish opened the show with Green Day on “Last Night On Earth;” the latter; Rock legend John Fogerty sang “Have you ever see the rain,” with Black Crowes; The Great Dawes, who have two members of the house loses in Altadena, supports Stills, Nash and Mike Campbell (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Guitarist) at Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It Worth” With a wild apropos “(a song about Riots Strip Sunseset in 1966 that felt very apropos with wild apropos” (a very wild song that feels wild that feels wild considering today’s political climate).
Elsewhere, bringing the song Jelly Roll from “Hollywood Nights” Bob Seger with Travis Barker who killed drums is enlightenment; The Tate Mcrae version of Crowded House’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” is an inspired choice like the cover of John Mayer from Tom Petty’s Classic of “Free Fallin ‘”.
Icon La Hometown Heroes with in -depth ties with the city including the Fairfax Hot School red chili, with LA songs such as “Under the Bridge” and “Californication;” La Nextgen Billie Eilish and Finneas flag bearers, raised in Silver Lake, and the beautiful songs are classic; No doubt, from the OC, which caused screams when they set up a forum stage while music was still carried out in intuit dome; Legend which is Stevie Wonder (who also has his own KJLH Radio) appears with Sting and RHCP’s Flea in “Higher Ground; And the painful appearance of “Rise” by Socal Poster Child Katy Perry, with Pasadena Chorale, a group that lost their Altadena community church in fire. Perry also really raised the California flag while performing the song “California Gurls.”
Superstar performers such as Lady Gaga (who wrote and performed new songs for that night) and Olivia Rodrigo felt like underplays even though Fireid was held in the arena; While newcomers such as Gracie Abrams and Tate Mcrae are more than proven they are ready; And see the cold stone legend such as Rod Stewart, Earth, Wind & Fire, Sting and Alanis Morissette in one night anywhere anytime is the privilege.
Meanwhile it will take many years for Los Angeles to fully recover from this disaster fire, the concert of the benefits of Fireid last night is the first big step towards that goal and a perfect reminder of what makes this city so extraordinary.
