Benchmark results show superior multi-core AP performance of Galaxy S25 Ultra over iPhone 16 Pro Max


Now that Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra it has been revealed, Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL You have a new challenger in what I like to call the Top-of-the-Line mobile phone category. Some comparisons between phones are subjective. For example, you may like the model of iPhone 16 Pro Max rather than the new “softer” and non-aggressive look of Galaxy S25 Ultra.

On the other hand, you may want to take an objective look Galaxy S25 Ultra AND iPhone 16 Pro Max. This is where benchmark tests come in handy as they take all personal feelings and opinions out of the equation in an attempt to provide an unbiased answer to the question, “Which phone is better?” The Geekbench benchmark test uses its proprietary equations to rank CPU and GPU performance on different phones.

Geekbench is known for measuring a single CPU core and multiple CPU cores all working at once. In “x,” Subscriber @TechinFosocials Posted what appears to be geekbench results for iPhone 16 Pro Max (L) and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (R). Not surprisingly, the A18 Pro application processor (AP) that powers it iPhone 16 Pro Max topped the score with a flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Apple’s A-series APs have a reputation for outperforming rival APs by this metric. Even so, it was close to me iPhone 16 Pro Max scoring 3457 compared to 3220 raised by Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The multi-core results were not as close Galaxy S25 Ultra With the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy AP scoring 10223 it blew away the 8553 multi-core score generated by iPhone 16 Pro Max and A18 Pro AP. Both chips are manufactured by TSMC using the foundry’s second-generation (N3E) 3NM node.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy CPU features performance cores tuned to 4.47GHz compared to the 4.32GHz peak clock speed for the CPU performance cores in the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite AP variant. iPhone 16 Pro Max Used for testing it is working iOS 18.2.1 while Galaxy S25 Ultra Tested by Geekbench powered by Android 15 with A ui 7 Interface at the top.
