Anthony Davis of Lakers will miss time with a significant injury

Los Angeles Lakers will be left without Anthony Davis at least until the end of his six games Grammy Road Trip.

Davis, who left the game early on Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers because of the abdominal muscle strain, will return to Los Angeles and be reassessed in a week.

Davis suffered the injury in the first quarter of the game on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.

Davis went to the dressing room with his right hand over his stomach when I left with 2:10 to go in the first quarter. He left the game with four points and two struggles in 10 minutes of action before being hurt.

He was coming down, perhaps his best performance in the Monday season against Charlotte Hornet, when he recorded 42 points and 23 fights in victory.

“When our best player comes out, it’s always challenging,” ” said James, who had 31 points but did almost as many turnover (8) as Sixers (9). “If he has been out from the beginning, then we have a set of games plan. We know what to expect, we know what our composition will be. But when advertising or one of our boys goes down throughout the game, it’s just difficult.”

Davis does not talk to reporters after the match.

The 31-year-old will miss at least the next four games that include Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors on February.6, Commercial Day.
