Ricki Lake is grateful for the great support she has received since she lost her home the fires of Los Angeles At the beginning of this month, including giving a very special gift.
On her Instagram page on Sunday, Lake explained one of the things she lost in the fire that was “so painful” for her were the photo albums of her son’s birth, Owen, since 2001.
Former Talk Show presenter recorded birth in her documentary “The Business of Being Born”, but she also had “a beautiful album” with photos from that time.
Over the weekend, Lake said one of her births, Jennifer Lickson, approached her after the fire destroyed her home and offered copies of her son’s birth photos.

“It’s like the most beautiful thing someone has ever done to me. I can’t believe I will have them back and be able to look back,” accepting it has the movie, But even the photographic album was important.

“This experience has been, he knew me. And I can’t imagine the people who had it worse,” she said. thanking a series of companies and friends who have provided assistance.
“It is so strange to be in a place of need. I am such an independent person that I cared for mine who (I was) 18 years old,” Lake added.

“I don’t come from the money, I don’t come from any donation or nepotism,” she continued. “As soon as I built this life for myself, my husband and my children. It is so strange that she leaves in an event.”
She noted she has lost a lot of things She is gathered during her life, including the original “hairspray” scenario signed by her co-beings, and photos from her parents and grandparents.

The 56-year-old star added that she had taken some preventive measures from the fire, but thinks the whole city was eventually unprepared.
“I can’t even wrap my head around what happened and where we failed … It’s a very strange time to be alive. I really am grateful to all those who approached me.”
“Keep us in your thoughts please and all of us who are going through this nightmare to rebuild our lives,” she concluded. “I will be fine. I am one of the lucky ones I have insurance. He does not replace what he lost, but we will create a new magical place.”
Last week, Lake showed that she and her husband, Ross Burningham, are working to rebuild their home, seeking to create “something else equally magical”.

“My home in Malibu was a holy place, a center for so many friends and loved ones. Many gatherings to count. Endless areas of property to hang, dance and play,” she wrote on Instagram on Monday. “It’s grueling and paralyzing now to try to wrap your head around how I will do it all again … but I’ll do it.”
