Ravens – Bengals (14-32): Lamar Jackson with a walk, Joe Burrow with a win

Baltimore Ravens (6-6) – Cincinnati Bengals (4-8) : 14-32

The Ravens and Lamar Jackson (17/32, 246 yards, 1 touchdown) were clearly determined to celebrate. the return of Joe Burrow (24/46, 261 yards, 2 TDs) showering him with gifts. Earlier this Black Friday, the Bengals collected five turnovers from Baltimore, including three by Jackson alone.

The worst part is that the bill could have been much higher. Because Cincinnati didn’t really capitalize on all these mistakes. The Bengals made just four field goals after five turnovers by their opponents. Burrow needed a third half of the run to regain his luster after the break. Then he dished the ball to Ja’Marr Chase (7 rec, 110 yards), obviously. But also for Tanner Hudson and Andrei Iosivas, the two scorers of the evening.

Enough to give Cincinnati a 26-14 lead early in the final quarter, before a fatal interception by Lamar Jackson.

Ineffective teams

If things got off to a good start with a field goal for the Bengals and a 28-yard touchdown run by Derrick Henry (10 carries, 60 yards, 1 TD) (7-3), the pace quickly settled. Lamar Jackson loses the first ball of the game on a sack, just 2 yards short of his own end zone. But the visitors do not take advantage of it. They got four straight shutouts against Baltimore’s defense.

In the second quarter, it was a short yard in front of the opposing end zone that Isiah Likely (5 rec, 95 yards) let loose. Then Lamar Jackson’s hands slip again. The Bengals add three touchdowns. They lead 12-7 at halftime.

Joe Burrow’s Awakening

The third quarter is the best for attacks. The Bengals have found their starting quarterback and it shows. Joe Burrow shares. Short passes at the beginning of the match become longer. Hudson scores on a 14-yard field goal to make it 19-7. But at last we surrender blow for blow. Keaton Mitchell (2 carries, 19 yards, 1 TD) answers right back for the Ravens who run well on the ground (14-19). And Iosivas plants a 29-yard touchdown, which is answered, also immediately, to give the Bengals some air (14-26).

End of the third quarter and the offensive celebration. Led and forced to punt, the Ravens fell back to the ground: interceptions, a fourth-down failure and a last-ditch touchdown. Meanwhile, Cincinnati adds two more field goals (14-32).

The Ravens relinquish the AFC North division lead to the Steelers, who they have yet to meet twice this season. The fight will be tough.
