Air Traffic Control Audio Moments Prior to Philadelphia aircraft accident
An air traffic control tower shows the audio when the operators tried to reach a doomt medwack jet, which crashed shortly after in Philadelphia.
Accident investigators with the National Transport Safety Board are not yet to find the cockpit voice recorder Meddevac jet It crashed in Philadelphia on Friday night, at least 7 people were killed and at least 19 injured.
The jet, which came from Op-Loka, Florida at 2:15 pm on Friday, flagged off the Northeast Philadelphia Airport on ET at around 6:06 pm. Learjet 55 was bound to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
NTSB investigator Ralph Hicks said in a press briefing on Saturday, “A modest right bend, a minor left twist and then a standing lineage,” was leading to its accident.
“It was a high impact accident and the aircraft is highly fragmented, NTSB President Jennifer Homendi said in briefing.
As a result, there are lots of debris, most of which want to gather investigators. It may take weeks for the collection attempt, Hamendi said.
While investigators have found two engines of the aircraft, they have not yet received the voice recorder. He urged anyone, who found the debris to email NTSB (Sakshi@ntsb.gov).
About the cockpit recorder, which cannot be intact, Homendi said, “Hope, once we can find it … we can take it back to our laboratory and evaluate it.”
Finding a recorder is important, so we can hear what is happening in the cockpit, “he said. “However, this does not mean that we cannot continue our investigation and cannot complete it (without a voice recorder). We can do. This is a piece of our investigation that gives us more information. “
He also mentioned the recorder, often referred to as a black box, actually orange. “So it is an organ box, but it can be damaged and cannot be orange. Therefore, it may occur in pieces.”
