The ugly loss of Duke on Saturday night was just the cherry on the cake for what was a very disappointing season for the UNC basketball program.
He was currently sitting with 13-10 records, not much for Tar Heels this season. North Carolina was entirely dominated by Duke, a game that showed that the blue devils were on a completely different level, while Tar Heels still had no identity match 23 during the season.
However, do not worry. Hubert Davis He continues to repeat the same things that he tells the media essentially throughout the season.
“The thing I was proud of with this team is his battle. He remains connected. He stays together.”
I’m starting to think we don’t watch the same games …
North Carolina descended 32 points on Saturday night, as the result (which was eventually a margin at 17 points) does not tell the true tale of how disturbing the loss for the boys in Carolina Blue.
The Duke essentially removed his leg from the throttle, allowing North Carolina to cause a little rally down the section.
Except for the first few minutes, this team did not show much battle, if any. From casual gaps to stagnant insult (not just love the good olella “ISO BALL”), Duke took control immediately from the gate and North Carolina did not even “fight” until the game was completely out of reach.
Focusing on the last month of the regular season, Davis believes that his team has not yet reached its full potential …
“Well, obviously we’re not where we want to be. But I go back to how you react and how you react? And you move forward, you keep fighting and there is so much season that still stays to improve and To improve.
Of course, no one tells Davis to stand up to the podium and give up his team. However, we are 23 games of the season- if this team has not reached its “full potential” so far, what makes you think this:
1) They will even reach that level of potential that Davis refers to or
2) They have no longer reached the peak and are what they are: mediocre in the best basketball team
Say what you want and blame who you want, but listening to Davis to talk to the media makes the whole season even more deriving than it was. If this team does not reach its full potential, it is the coaching staff and players, as someone has to activate and repair the ship.
Enough speaking- if this team has such potential, find a way to get it out of them.
The clock is ticking.
