Duke Vs. UNC: LopSideed Win players’ estimates when Cooper Flagg Erupts, RJ Davis disappears

No. 2 Duke did not give a rival North Carolina One only chance to feel that he was on Saturday 87-70 Roma. Duke led 23-6 before you could blink and he was never threatened. The Blue Devils led 32 in the second half before Carolina made a big mileage … just to bring him to the middle of the teens.

Here are the estimates for each player who was on the floor for more than five minutes.

Let’s start with the winners.

Duke Blue Devils

Cooper FlaggL

Player: 5 stars

UNC made some curious decision to start its range of four guards instead of inserting a five -star wing Drake PowellWho undoubtedly had the best chance of slowing the flag one to one. The phenomenon of the Duke’s freshman made North Carolina pay for her sins. Before Powell had a chance to check the game, Flag had already generated 15 total points with pair 3 and four Dime.

The flag was brilliant, a total of 21 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and three thefts. Each time UNC tried to follow one in one, Flag swallowed them, and decision-making was in place during his 38-minute stay. When UNC doubled, Flagg quickly found open archers. When the UNC goes zone, Flag took it separately from the high post. It could easily be a triple-pair.

The flag for the national player of the year is spinning.

Tyrese ProctorG

Player’s Degree: 5 Stars

Proctor put his shooting with two backs on the back of the back. The 6-legged-6 junior guard drained two 3-indicatives and ended with an effective 17 points of only 10 shots to go with three assists and two fights and turnover. Prector quietly became one of the most important players in this team because of his ability to switch between a role or outside a ball. Plus, it was an exceptional protected for long sections. UNC ‘ Rj Davis I could never get tannika, and Prector was the reason why.

KON KNUEPELG

Player’s Degree: 5 Stars

Knueppel smelled of blood in the water against this undervalued UNC Backcourt. Knueppel had one of his best matches of the season. Defensive, he tackled the challenge of chasing fast perimeters or when he joined one of the big ones of UNC. Knueppel’s defense was a pleasant surprise this season. It is an advantage of this end.

Oh, and he’s a bucket. The freshman’s wing amounts to 22 points on only 11 shots. KNUEPEL denied any hope for the UNC revival to start the second half in the first minute with a shaking rim and its second grass at night.

Khaman MaluachS

Grade of player: 4.5 stars

Maluach’s energy was exceptional from the jump. The center with 7 feet-2 had four rear offensive struggles in the first 11 minutes of adjustment. These opportunities for a second chance were just killers for an already subordinate UNC defense. North Carolina tried to use Davis to isolate against Maluach repeatedly. Duke’s big friend lingered well against UNC’s pre-season All-American. Maluach was a couple missed bunnies from the five -star night like his freshmen.

Zion JamesG

Player’s Degree: 5 Stars

James showed why he was one of the elite players at the Basketball College. Guard -teran had 13 points and three assists with just one turnover. Duke exceeded UNC with 26 points during James’ 32 minutes. James is just so smart. He attacks long closure and moves the rock smart to create advantages. It remains an integral part of the protection of Duke’s transition. UNC rarely got a good look when James was on the floor. James wisely kept everyone in front of him and coaxed the challenged jumpers left and right. At first glance, James didn’t seem to blow up a switch all night.

Isaiah EvansL

Player’s Degree: 3 Stars

Evans is not afraid. The elegant freshman had a turnover and tried to compensate it with a hasty Trai A Deadeye unattended in the weak corner.

Maliq brownL

Player’s Degree: 5 Stars

Brown’s return is a big deal for this Duke club at both ends. Brown was an exceptional switching everything. As usual, Brown was a deviation machine, tearing two thefts. But Brown also works as a center for five times for Duke’s crime, which helps him look a little different when Maluach is not on the floor. He had an exquisite rear pass to Prector for a bucket. Brown plays as one of the elite reserve centers in sports.

Mason GilisL

Grade of player: 3.5 stars

Gilis scattered his lonely experience with 3 points, and he went into the right gap at the right time to tear Drake Powell for timely theft. Veteran Fry The transfer had four fouls in seven minutes, but overall it was stable in its seven minutes.

Caleb FosterG

Player’s Degree: 1 star

Foster did not do many in his seven minutes of action. Foster did not score and knocked one bounce. One of the concern was previously focused if Foster was fast enough to hang with UNC security. Sheyer did not allow this to happen.

North Carolina Tar Heels

Rj davis, g

Player’s Degree: 2 Stars

North Carolina needed a special night from Davis, but he could not oblige this huge defense of the Duke. Davis’s final line was fine. He had 12 points at 11 attempts, including several deep paths. But he did not shoot until the UNC was anymore in a hole of 18-6. He did not score until the UNC descended by 27 by less than five minutes. The game ended before Davis puts his fingerprint on it.

He sat on the final 7:33 of the regulation.

Elliott giftG

Player’s Degree: 1 star

The late 3-indicator picked up the Cadeau line slightly, but like almost everyone else, it wasn’t his night. The tip of the Unc sophomore managed to fold the defense of Duke at times, but he had almost had no chance of ending over the length and athleticism of Duke’s front line. Cadeau decision making continues to be a holiday or hunger. He had three disappointing turnover before the first moment in the media because Duke was more than ready for his passages with one hand.

Cadeau played hard and showed some battle with a pair of offensive struggles and some exquisite dimes, but UNC needs it to be more stable. Cado ended with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and five turnover.

Set trimbleG

Player’s Degree: 3 Stars

Trimble had an early opportunity to try and slow down Flagg. This, predictably, did not go well. Trumbs remained active and won 10 points, five rebounds and a pair of assists. It is cooked a little in the second half with some timely drives and floors. But UNC had to do 3s to keep serving with Duke’s shots on the rim, and Trumb could not transform any good appearance.

Since he returned from an injury, Trumbs only shot 2 for 21 of the center in the last eight games in combination.

Ian JacksonG

Player’s Degree: 1 star

Jackson had a four -point game at the beginning of the second half, but it was the lonely bright place for the five -star freshman. Jackson couldn’t get something isolated, and Duke generally removed it from the game from the jump. He had only two shot attempts in the first 18 minutes of adjustment. This just can’t happen to a person who is the best UNC player repeatedly.

Ven-all lubinL

Grade of player: 4 stars

Lyubin sacrificed some serious height at Duke’s front chick, but he was not afraid. Notre Dam’s transfer was everywhere through the offensive glass. He had five offensive struggles, seven points, three blocks and theft. He couldn’t make Duke pay for a wing to switch on it, but gave Duke some problems in the ball screen game.

Overall, UNC will take such nights from Lubin all day, every day.

Drake Powell, f

Player’s Degree: 3 Stars

Powell did it in the second half with 12 points, and he had some moments with his protection one in one per flag. Powell diverted one of the flag gaps and immediately found Set Trumbs for a transitional bucket. The back gaze is 20/20, but Powell probably had to play more in the first half, because when he was sitting, UNC had to send a double team to Flagg, which is crushing.

But Powell was also sitting almost all the last six minutes of the first half after making a pair of disappointing speed. He looked uncomfortable and was not synchronized in the first half, but was fearless and ready to go in the second half.

Jalen WashingtonL

Player’s Degree: 3 Stars

Washington There were six points and four fights in 17 minutes in their first game back after fighting a knee injury. With Duke’s switching, everything would be a very necessary help if Washington could create part of his own crime against some of Duke’s smaller defenders, but it’s just not his game right now.

Jae’lyn withrsL

Player’s Degree: 2 Stars

Witters drained Trey and had exquisite driving for a bucket at the end of the second half, but there were still some disappointing solutions during his 12 -minute time to play. Witters tried to attack a flag one to one. The flag had none of that. UNC started getting a few stops when Withers was on the floor, but the game was so exhausted in the middle of the second half that it was difficult to put a tone of stock in it.

Cade TysonL

Player’s Degree: 1 star

Tyson had an open angle of 3 and he came out of the top of the dashboard. This summarizes the season for Belmont Transfer.
