Nasourdin Imavov announced his arrival among the elite athletes in the middle category, as a slaughter of the famous UFC on Saturday. Imevov entered the octagon as a mild perpetrator against the two -time former middle category champion Israel Adesanya, but had to be removed from the legend only 30 seconds in the second round.
Adsanya entered the match, coming out of the rear losses and three losses in her four latest matches. Despite this rude patch, the former champion struggled well in the first round, repelled numerous attempts to download while piercing Imavov with kicks on his feet and hard Jabi.
The early dissatisfaction does not seem to bother Imavov when he pushed forward from the beginning of the second round, before landing a severely looming right, which sent Adesanya, who spilled to the canvas. Imavov did not give Adsanya time to recover, following the blows against the cell and on the ground until the referee was forced to jump to stop the action in the 0:30 sign of the circle.
“I feel so good,” Imavov said after the match. “I said it all week, I was in perfect shape. I proved it tonight. I proved I was the better attacker. Now the goal for me is to fight for the belt.”
This UFC middleweight belt will be seized next Saturday when DRICUS DU PLESSIS puts it on the line against the man who won to become the champion, Sean Strickland.
Imavov’s message to these two men was simple.
“I think there is no doubt that I deserve the belt,” Imavov said. “Four wins in one year the record speaks for itself.”
Imavov’s last defeat came to Strickland, in a duel, which gathered in the short term and in a light heavyweight. He now won four consecutive matches dating from February 4, 2024.
For Adsanya, the road is far less clear. After spending years as King of the 185-pound division, he lost three straight and four, with three of these losses coming with a stop.
