Meryl Streep cuts the ‘car size hole’ on his neighbor’s fence to escape from the Palisades fire


Meryl Streep experienced a close call when trying to evacuate from his house for Palisades fire Earlier this month.

Meryl’s nephew, Abe Streep, wrote an article for New York magazine and shared that a tree fell into the entrance of his aunt, which blocked him a one -way out of his house.

“The evacuation mandate is sent across the city,” Abe wrote. “My aunt Meryl Streep received orders to evacuate on January 8, but when he tried to leave, he found that a large tree had fallen on his entrance, preventing the exit of one -only.

Short explained that once he was told to evacuate, he collected a family photo album and got into his car. It took an hour to leave the Pacific Palisades environment because people left the car and blocked the road.

Short shared that he did not lose his house during the fire, but one of his sons who lived near him did it. He also did not have plans to leave the Pacific Palisades he loved.

“I will definitely live in my house,” Short said.

Abe also spoke with actor Haley Joel Osment, who lost the fire in the Eaton fire.

Osment told Abe that he lost 500 notes and piano given by his parents for his 18th birthday. The actor “Sixth Indra” said his father lost his house too.
