This says players must attend press opportunities after each match, which gives them opportunities to “put their views on their performance and provide valuable exposure to the media and fans”.
Players can be fined up to $50,000 for not attending these press opportunities.
The rules surrounding post-match media engagements include a reference to broadcast interviews, but do not specify that they must be completed in court. That said, it’s extremely rare that players don’t stay after the game to do these.
